Would you vote for Bush again
Democrats catch alot of hell on this board. But the polls show most disaprove of Bush.

Would you vote for him again if he could run?

With an approval rating in the high 20s/low 30s, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who would say "yes." As many people who hate her, Hillary would probably beat him straight up at this point.

All things being the same, yes...

I am assuming you meant the 2nd term. He still would be better than Kerry ever could, no question.

If you were talking both terms Gore vs. Bush I think would be pretty even. I think Bush would have been better in dealing with 9/11, but Gore probably would have been more reserved on Iraq. Picking Supreme Court Justices would tip it in Bush's favor.

RE: Would you vote for Bush again
Voting for either party would send the message that I support their entire platform, which I don't. My voice is heard much more loudly by writing letters to the candidates and/or currently-serving officials stating my opinion on particular issues...I would encourage you all to do the same. For every person who takes the time to write there are probably a couple thousand who do not, whereas your vote, while important, is a drop in the ocean.

Wow, that is a tough question. I would undoubtedly vote for him over Hillary and probably Obama. I would probably pick Fred Thompson (although not really in the race) or Mike Huckabee over Bush. Probably a toss up with Guiliani.

Guiliani would definately be strong on national defense and the war. However, I don't like his 2nd Amendment stance. Now, I usually let a few issues slide with a candidate because there is no one out there that I agree with 100% of the time, but that's a big friggin' issue for me.

Assuming no Constitutional or Libertarian Party person was on the ticket .... I would probably vote Ralph Nader before I would vote for Bush.

Ron Paul could probably beat Bush for the Republican primary at this point.

Didn't vote for him before and wouldn't vote for him now. I never thought he was the best man for the job. I think Gore would have done a better job executing the "war on terror" by not appointing someone like Rumsfeld that tried to politicize too much stuff at the pentagon and didn't let the Generals do their job. That was a crucial mistake. I do think with Gore we would still have the good will and support of the world like with did after 9/11 and was quickly dissolved when we entered Iraq. Just my opinion, obviously none of this speculation could be proven.

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree there. Damn glad I didn't spend the last 8 years being preached to on how I should live my life by a moron living in a mansion, and owning a mansion in Tennessee.

You need to pay more heed to the message in your avatar. I know we are supposed to all hate Bush now, but you are seriously "out there" if you think Gore would have been a good president. That's just insane...

Instead you are preached to on how you should live your life by a moron living in a mansion, and owning a mansion in Texas.

Great logic. 01-wingedeagle

That would have made sense, TOGC, if Bush had ever made any effort to implore people to "live like he says, not like he does" a la Gore...

You truly are a simpleton...

RE: Would you vote for Bush again
I dont think this poll is worded right, how many of the members that voted no in this poll originally voted for him in his last election?

if you did not vote for bush 4 years ago then you dont have an option listed, therefore the results will be flawed to show that he has lost interest from his original voters.

sorry if I didnt word that very well, I was typing kinda fast.

It seems there has been more government intrusion/watching of late that there ever might have been with Gore at the helm. Patriot Act anyone? That is one of my big problems with Bush and of course his immigration stances.

Patriot Act was bi-partisan. Funny how some forget that. Not to mention we are at war, whether you choose to admit it or not. As for his immigration stance, well, you will get no argument from me there.

A Gore government would be less intrusive?!? Now you've really gone and lost it! This is the same man who is jetsetting around the world to campaign for enacting punitive policies on both businesses and citizens to force them to change the way they live their lives. The Bush administration will listen to your conversation if you speak with a suspected al Qaida operative in this country or another (gasp!), a Gore administration would extend its arm into my pocketbook and dictate my decisions (what car I can drive, what kind of water heater I can buy, how my groceries are bagged, what doctors I can see, etc.) to force me to conform to its view of what is right/wrong. One of those at least stops someone from killing me or my friends/family...
