Louisville Baseball News -- Very Cool
Since we still have a month to wait until football...
Louisville's surprising success in 2007 that included a run to the College World Series is already paying big dividends on the recruiting trail. Coach Dan McDonnell and his staff just secured a commitment from the state of Ohio's top prep prospect, Cincinnati Elder pitcher Mike Nastold.
Nastold told Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Tom Goreschen that he chose the Cardinals over fellow College World Series participants Arizona State, Mississippi State and North Carolina and other top options Ole Miss and Penn State.
A 6-foot-4, 220-pound power pitcher with a fastball approaching 95 miles per hour, Nastold was rated the No. 1 baseball prospect in the state of Ohio.... (courtesy of rivals.com)
