All hatred aside, I think you have one outstanding player in Stegall. It was hilarious to watch him against Nuckles. Nuck was so outmatched it was terrible. Stegall was way to quick for Nuckles to guard. I couldnt understand why they didnt keep feeding him the ball.

I think Stegall scares me more than Wooten.

RE: Stegall
Stagall is the man. He was definately the in-the-paint player we've been missing. That's part of the reason of our D-II success was our down low play. When our guys got kicked out of school (right before D-I season 1) for cheating we were in a bad position of not being able to recruit talent and none coming through the system. Now that's changing and it's getting exciting with guys like Stegall and our new recruits.

RE: Stegall
I like Stegall as well; clearly the best PF in the league. Extremely tough matchup for us: Too quick for Nuckles; too strong for Reed. He'll pose a problem for us this year too. Like Fan1, I was confused about the seeming lack of set plays for him. I would make sure he gets several touches. And, if they doubled down on him, Wooten is dangerous enough to make teams pay. It seems like KSU's dilemma is similar to ETSU's dillemna in a sense: You guys are better in transition, because you have the athletes, and you have good perimeter players. So, opportunities for a half-court game are limited.

BTW, what's the latest on your 6'10 kid?

Others will have to fill you in. I probably won't be around the team until the exhibition games but I do believe some of the other posters have watched practices or something. There's a Recruiting post on our board that has a lot of information

RE: Stegall
Stegall is the best pf in the league... I am excited about him next year when he lines up next to 6'10 Green- will maybe form the best front court in the A-SUN. Although, I believe Green will be at KSU this season I am left wondering if he will play as I have heard rumors of bad grades that may hold him back due to certain NCAA rules and such.
