Welcome to our man child for the next 4 years.

Terrance Ganaway

He may prove to be a very good back, but the video shows more of an incompetitent opponent than a gifted runner.

Yeah, Texas high school football is known for their lack of quality football. 04-cheers

He's a big, slow, 2-star RB. He was big enough to run over HS kids, but I-A defenses will be much bigger. He reminds me of Garry Pack, out of Oak Grove, MS. He was a man among boys in HS, and ran over everyone. He went to Ole Miss, and has been an average linebacker. He'll probably be a solid player for Houston, likely on defense.

Offers (Scout and Rivals): Indiana, Maryland and Michigan State

Terrell Edwards

Offers (Scout and Rivals): ECU, Iowa State, Kentucky, Southern Miss and South Carolina

You can say it's listed, but I know for a FACT that Terrell Edwards was never offered by USM. Kids say they have offers all the time to try and get their stock up. I know that scout.com has players listed that have offers from USM which USM aren't even recruiting. Take it for what you will!

Hey eagle fans any of you guys worried about keeping Easterling out of trouble and on the field?

He is a great player but he comes with a lot of baggage.

His other offers don't matter...what's important is that he's a COOG.

He's already on campus, and passed Chem I with an A in the first summer session (per one of his hometown buddies that posts of Coogfans).

Regardless of who offered him, he's a big boy who qualified for the State T&F Meet in the 200m and the Shot Put, and was a 1st Team All-State DB in addition to being the 2-time State Offensive Player of the Year in Class 2A.

There's obviously a big difference between the talent in HS Class 2A and NCAA Division 1A, but on paper this kid sounds like a hell of a find.

I was just curious. Fletcher didn't have any BCS offers either, but this time last year no USM fan was going on about him like you guys are about Ganaway, that is why I thought maybe he was highly recruited.

I'm hoping this guy is just really under the radar as he seems. So far though i am impressed.

WTF kind of question is that? He doesn't carry any more "baggage" than any other football player. He got a bj from his girlfriend. I seriously doubt that any high school football players didn't get one of those.

Not from 14 year olds, most get when they are 18 that could be trouble. It was too much baggage for the Miami's and FSU's.

Hate to burst your bubble, but when it became clear that Easterling would be able to complete the court youth intervention program in time to start college with zero legal troubles or criminal record, many big programs came hard after him again, especially in the last couple of days before signing day. Rutgers and North Carolina stayed hard after him the whole time.
All indications are since he got on campus are that the young man is well behaved, very courteous and very happy to be at USM.

I find it hysterical that Thug U will back out of recruiting someone charged with concensual sex, yet they have no problems taking players that express violent impulses while getting creamed (LSU, Peach Bowl)

I guarantee that 90% of IA teams out there have at least one player on their team that did the exact same thing in HS. They just didn't get caught. And the only reason that the Miami's and FSU's backed off was because he was facing potential legal trouble. By the time he was exonerated, they had filled up on scholarships. Rutgers and NCST went after him hard, though.

Comments like yours and Don's are nothing more than attacks based on envy. If ECU ever signed a 4-star player, there would be 10-15 threads started EVERY DAY bragging about how great you are, even if the kid blew up a day-care center. I guess we won't have to worry about that any time soon, as ECU can barely even sign 3-star players.

What's your point? I simply listed the offers as reported by Rivals and Scout. For the record, Darius Marshall looks better than Edwards on film, and Jo Jo Cox looks better than both, imo.

Fletcher??

The guy that feigned an injury so he wouldn't have to keep getting pounded by Will Gulley in last year's C-USA champ game?

"Way to step it up there big guy."

Heh.

Heh.

Another typical Houson fan that has no way how to act like his team won a Championship. USM has four titles, Houston has two. You are halfway there. USM owns the head to head series and split the two games just last year. No wonder you can't average 20,000 at that pitiful stadium you have. Texas high schools have better attendance than Houston.
As for Fletcher, he was a freshman All American running back and first team CUSA running back. His game will speak for itself this year. Meanwhile without Kolb, Houston returns to 10,000 in the stands. By the way, when is the last time Houston won a bowl game? Nice seven game losing streak in bowls for Cougar High.03-lmfao03-lmfao

Personally I'm more impressed with USM's consecutive streak of being the BRIDEUSMAID.

The perennial 2nd place team in C-USA now.

USM hasn't won a conference championship in so long now, look who's living in the past now??

Hehe!

Hehe!

2003 was our last. It took Cougar High ten years to win its second. Care to compare that decade with USM? Of course you don't. So when will Cougar High win a bowl game?

A heck of a lot sooner than Southern Miss Congeniality will win a conference championship again!

Still being two championships behind USM just burns I bet? Houston wins one every decade, so impressive.

Good grief, you're not really going to compare history with UH are you?

Because if we are, UH absolutley PWNS southern miss in that category. You're not even in 2nd place in that category like you are in everything else lately.

You really want to compare histories?

Bring it.

Well, I said the last decade. Do you want to compare what I asked about or how about since CUSA started. Take your pick. Seems that ESPN just did a rating on the last ten years. USM finished #39 in the country. Where did Houston finish? I could tell you, but you answer, that would be more fun..03-lmfao03-lmfao
