Just wanted to see if anyone knew why UNC would sign William Graves over Thaddeus Young?

Graves was an early commit. When Roy offered him a scholarship, he jumped on it immediately... instead of waiting around and drawing out the process like many of the top kids.
Young and many other kids are more highly rated than Graves, but I think there's something to be said for taking some lower-rated guys that are expected to stay around 4 years. We don't want another repeat of this past year's exodus, and you avoid that by taking guys like Graves. Also, there is a possibility that Graves' ranking will go up now that he's the star player on his team.
All in all, I think it's a great way to compliment this class.

Good point, how early did Graves commit?
