I say, most of San Fran/Berkley, boulder, colorado, Vermont....and several other heavily leftist areas in this country are majority anti-US and actively trying to turn this nation into Western Europe(i.e. they want this nation to be drastically different than it is and was founded to be). They can try to cover it up all the want by claiming its 'free speech' and 'patriotic'. Take justice Ginsberg, she has even resorted to citing other countries law in justifying her SCOTUS opinions, something she should be impeached for.

that said, I agree with Soph that these people are idiots 04-cheers
I can say the same thing about a majority of the south. I don't agree with much of what I think most southerners believe so I find them to be un-American. BTW, have you ever been above the Mason-Dixon line to know what most people in those places are like? I didn't think so. I have to admit, I have never been below the Mason Dixon line. I get my perception of the south from this board and people that I know that have personally been down there.

I think it would be interesting to hear what peoples definition of patriotic is.

I can tell you that blind nationalism and patriotism are NOT the same thing, for starters.

the fact that they have the freedom to espouse lies, propaganda and blatant anti-Americanism freely without the Govt. rushing in and having them jailed is testimate enough to the idiocy of their 'views'. They are openly celebrating Tyrants(Iran, Hezzbollah), this is not 'patriotism'. People like that are morally bankrupt, they get see the obvious distinction between Tyrants and democracies. Natan Sharansky summed it up:

Quote:"A lack of moral clarity is why an Israeli journalist compared a kippah to a prison. It is why people living in free societies cannot distinguish between religious fundamentalists in democratic states and religious terrorists in fundamentalist states. It is why people living in free societies can come to see their fellow citizens as their enemies, and foreign dictators as their friends."

A Chinese made "I support the troops" sticker on your car and a Chinese made American flag flying at your house. Don't criticize Bush for anything including the war. You must support the war in order to support the troops or you are unpatriotic. Those are just the start for the right. I am sure I can add more as they come to me. 03-wink

I don't think the right wing would agree that those ideas come from their views. From my vantage point, the right wing is firmly entrenced against those notions. Now, the neocons, absolutely.

Huh? Trying to teach religion in a science class has nothing to do with free speech. That's just about using reason and common sense.
