It is not a political subdivision of Afganistan. We installed Karzai as President there. Al Queada is a terrorist organization with no ties to any government.
You claimed he was guilty of "taking an oath, affirmation or other formal declaration to a foreign state or its political subdivisions." First you claimed that he swore allegiance to Islam (which is not a foreign state nor political subdivision) and then you changed your story to claim he swore allegiance to Al Queda (which is not a foreign state nor political subdivision).
You're really, really bad at this.

You really need to learn the difference between is and was. I'm not TALKING about after we invaded, *******, I'm talking about before and yes, Al Qaeda was DIRECTY tied to the Taliban government of Afghanistan. Really bad at this? You are about as dumb as a f'n rock when it comes to international affairs pertaining to radical Islam. Now, since you won't answer my previous f'n question, show me where "I" said he swore his allegiance to Islam. Gdamn, you're good at one thing, making **** up.

You have reading comprehension problems if you think that the US Government can suspend habeas corpus against Jose Padilla based on the following criteria:
Quote:Section 349 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended, states that U.S. citizens are subject to loss of citizenship if they perform certain acts voluntarily and with the intention to relinquish U.S. citizenship. Briefly stated, these acts include:
(2) taking an oath, affirmation or other formal declaration to a foreign state or its political subdivisions (Sec. 349 (a) (2) INA);
(3) entering or serving in the armed forces of a foreign state engaged in hostilities against the U.S. or serving as a commissioned or non-commissioned officer in the armed forces of a foreign state (Sec. 349 (a) (3) INA);
(7) conviction for an act of treason (Sec. 349 (a) (7) INA
He was born in Brooklyn. He is an American citizen, whether you like it or not.
