WJCW has been ahead of WFHG for years...
Goldfinger, go over and insult the Kennesaw people. Make fun of Tony Ingle's fat gut or the fact that an undersized white guy kicked their superstar's @$$

What undersized white kid are you referring to?

RE: MEDIA WATCH- June 26
Not so!

Rules on revealing ratings are somewhat sketchy.

However, WFHG did beat WJCW when I was there (source- http://www.radioandrecords.com).

And it was the only book they did.

Now, what was the constant there? What did they have then they didn't have now.

Hmmmm. I wonder.

Yeah, I do too, and I'm surprised nobody has had him on to talk about Chris Benoit.

RE: MEDIA WATCH- June 26
Well I fully admit that I know nothing of the ins and outs of local media. But I do know that Bill Meade is just a spokesman for Tennessee. And between the two voices of the buccaneer sports radio, I wish that Jay Sandos (not sure how you spell it) would call the girls games so that Don could do the men.

Its not that I don't think Jay is likable on the radio, but he gets so excited and caught up in the history of how many fouls a certain player has averaged over a period of time that the audience is often left in the dark as to what is actually going on in the game. At times he's impossible to follow.

RE: MEDIA WATCH- June 26
Gold- That's not going to happen since Jay Sandos is essentially the reason why ETSU games are on the air. He built the network and even teaches sportscasting classes at ETSU.

That said, both Don and Jay read this board. And I know Jay is not above taking constructive criticism.

Constructive- mind you. Not the kind of criticism I get, which is misguided and moronic.

I can follow Jay just fine and think he does a great job. But I also have to tip my hat to Mr. Helman, whose PBP skills are extraordinary as well.

I've often mentioned Helman's fortay at being able to recap the action at just the right time.

ETSU may be in the A-Sun, but they have A-Plus announcers as far as I'm concerned.

Well I'm not trying to personally attack him, as I said he is likable on the radio. But sometimes I will be listening and he'll be going on about something while the audience is in the blind as to what is going on in the game.

That aside, I intend no personal attack. The only human being I would personally attack would be that S.O.B. Stanton. And I don't care if he does take it personally.

Well, I didn't say you were.

I'll make a deal with you, though.

I'll see to it that Jay stays on the point if you'll introduce me to Pus$y Galore.

Personally I think he does a damn good job. I mean he has to work with college students on the air.

RE: MEDIA WATCH- June 26
My favorite of all time was when that moron at the ETSU/Ga. Southern football game said "Jay, just when you think they're going in the right direction, THEY RIP YOUR HEART OUT!" I heard he failed Jay's class, miserably.
As far as Jay and Don go they do a great job, who would have thought that a 20 something could get along with Grandpa Don, but I do agree Don does a great job, and truthfully has more talent than Bill Meade.
I think they should have a third person though, maybe Tom Taylor? 05-stirthepot

BTW Goldfinger the undersized white guy that took it to Ronnell Wooten was Ben Rhoda.

THAT'S NOT THE RIGHT LINE!

By God, do I have to play EVERY PART on this board?

The correct line, Goldfinger, denying me access to Miss Galore would be-

"No, Mr. Bucs! I expect you to remain celibate!"

But I'll let you off this one time.

Just fix me up with a large-breasted bombshell carrying a .45 pistol.

Now, that's something I think EVERYONE on this board would support!

Buccaneer...ah, I was thinking of just last year for some reason. Yes I remember the Rhoda, Wooten affair. I believe that is the game where we beat Kennesaw by thirty something points.

Yea, poor little Ronnell thought he had something, first he tried to mess with Dillion Sneed and figured Sneed might eat him, so he tried to move to Rhoda, then he got his butt kicked. That might still be one of my favorite moments at an ETSU game.
Fan1, what do you think, Jay, Don and Tom Taylor next year?

RE: MEDIA WATCH- June 26
Wooten will make the mistake again. Granted the guy can play but there is a reason he went D-2, and it has nothing to do with Kennesaw's sparkling record, or world class facilities. I would be willing to bet he couldn't read a stop sign out of high school or stay out of trouble.

He was a thug in that game 2 years ago...Now I haven't seen that behavior out of him since....but on that game, that kid was a downright thug.
