As facts emerged surrounding the case, all tributes to Chris Benoit were removed both on-air and on WWE.com.

If Raw is anything like ECW tonight, Benoit won't even be mentioned. I didn't hear Styles or Tazz utter his name once. Not even to compare him to any one. My thought is they will act as though he never existed for at least a year or 2. And keep as many clips off TV of his that they can.

Seeing the picture of 7-year-old Daniel Benoit, he was so cute. I just don't understand why a Dad would do this to his own son. The kid was the most innocent.

RE: Chris Benoit and family found dead
A woman tells News 1130 in Vancouver, B.C. that Chris Benoit's son Daniel had a condition called Fragile X syndrome. Wikipedia describes the symptoms:

Aside from intellectual disability (mental retardation), prominent characteristics of the syndrome include an elongated face, large or protruding ears, flat feet, larger testicals in men (macroorchidism), and low muscle tone. Behavioral characteristics may include stereotypic movements (e.g., hand-flapping) and atypical social development, particularly shyness and limited eye contact. Some individuals with the fragile X syndrome also meet the diagnostic criteria for autism. While full mutation males tend to present with severe intellectual disability, the symptomology of full mutation females runs the gamut of minimally affected to severe intellectual disability, which may explain why females are underdiagnosed relative to males.

The woman interviewed for the News 1130 story says her family was in contact with the Benoits, but they didn't want to go public with the disease and chose to keep things low profile. She added that families can be torn apart by the disease because it's very difficult to find help and support. She said, "You as a parent have to go out there and find what's available and it's not easy --they don't tell you."

Fragile X Article.

W.K. Analysis: This may explain why Daniel was taking growth hormone injections. It also may shed light onto why Chris didn't want someone else raising his son and made the fateful decision to kill him. As irrrational and twisted as it may sound, he may have felt he was saving his son from the double-blow of losing his parents through a murder-suicide and being subject to being raised by people who didn't understand or care for his condition.

Thoughts?

Are you trying to rationalize his decision?

You may be right.

I just think we have to reevaluate what steroids and other drugs do to people.

There are plenty of people (like Czabe) who insist that nothing has been proven as to the harm steroids do.

But, with Pillman, Hennig, Eddie, and now Benoit...isn't that more than coincidence?

Thoughts?

Still not a valid reason to kill a 7 y/o -- that's like saying*, "God, YOU can't find someone to care for my son so I'm gonna take his life."

As many folks out there who are savvy to Fragile X and Autism, there's SOMEBODY out there who could have stepped in and provided for the boy.

I say to that, no one has the right to murder another human. If Chris didn't want to face the inviable task of trying to raise him. I don't condone it, but kill yourself. And let others around him that want to provide for him do so.

More Details: Nancy was found with her hands and feet bound. And there was 3 new bibles laying next to each of them. This was well thought out and premeditated. Hell is to good of a place for Benoit.

If you go to the the homepage right now, on the top right there is a video from Mr. McMahon that explains everything...I would paste it here but the video in the link won't work.

RE: Chris Benoit and family found dead
The worst part of this is we don't know what got him to that state of mind. Fellas, we're talking about someone who according to Dean Malenko, who he traveled with for 20 YEARS, Bret Hart, who helped train him, he never exhibitied these tendencies. And while I hope he's burning today for what he did, keep in mind how he ended up with Nancy, a storyline on the old WCW involving him and Nancy's ex-husband Kevin Sullivan, where Benoit and "woman" as she was called were fooling around, then it really happened, they got together. I will say that I'm sick and tired of hearing people like Mark Schlereth pass judgment and stereotype all of professional wrestling over let's be honest, an isolate incident. I mean we don't consider everyone who ever played football for Southern Cal and the Buffalo Bills evil, sick and twisted just because of what OJ Simpson did, we sure as hell don't pass judgment on the Tennessee Titans over Pacman, the Falcons OR Va. Tech over Michael and Marcus Vick, the Denver Broncos over Bill Romanowski, or just to give an example of a murderer, Rae Carruth, Leonard Little and Dewayne Goodrich. What I've heard this week from the hypocrites on ESPN and everywhere else tells me they have no class. Fact of the matter is if steroids were legalized tommorrow, EVERYONE would take them to get better, and yes that includes Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Hell professional athletes try to get away with it anyway (See Shawn Merriman, Floyd Landis, Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire), but wrestlers are scum of the Earth because of it.
I find it SICK how the media has twisted this around to pass judgment like they are Gold Almighty when they need to first look in the mirror.

RE: Chris Benoit and family found dead
We now find out Daniel Benoit had Fragile X Syndrome, which might explain why he was given growth hormones:

Id hate to see it, if Sullivan is lurking around Benoit's grave site.

more disturbing news...

News of Nancy Benoit's death was inexplicably posted on Wikipedia 14 hours before the police discovered the bodies. This was initially reported on Wikinews and later on FOXNews.com. The original posting reads: “Chris Benoit was replaced by Johnny Nitro for the ECW Championship match at Vengeance, as Benoit was not there due to personal issues, stemming from the death of his wife Nancy.” The phrase "stemming from the death of his wife Nancy" was added to the English Wikipedia's "Chris Benoit" article at 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 25, whereas the Fayette County police reportedly discovered the bodies of the Benoit family at 2:30 p.m. EDT (14 hours, 29 minutes later). The IP address of the editor was traced to Stamford, Connecticut, which is also the location of WWE headquarters. After news of the early death notice reached mainstream media, the anonymous poster accessed Wikinews to explain his seemingly prescient comments as a "huge coincidence and nothing more".

Ya know this could have been posted by Chris himself. All WWE wrestlers that have the net, which is most likely all of them, have their IPs run though HQs in Conn.. This might not be a coincidence at all.

I heard something yesterday, that I think applies everywhere now:

1. Hear important News
2. Remember to Call Police
3. Update Wikipedia
4. Forget step 2

I would be willing to say that kevin Sullivan won't be anywhere near this mess. I believe some major changes are def. on the horizon for professional wrestling. WWE was already spoon feeding a new image for their females, trying to move more towards a "Playboy" type image instead of Hustler. (It's a bad reference but the best I could come up with)
