Really? I disagree. The PC world, led by liberals, made it a race issue. Did not matter to them that South Mississippi was TOTALLY f'ed up, because they were mostly honkys.

South Mississippi didn't have the massive flooding, either.

But let's not get into a post-Katrina discussion. Today's too nice of a day.

Eastern NC had massive flooding in Hurricane Floyd, the Clinton Administrations Fema did get there until a month later, which is ok because under federalism they are the last to get there, local and state first. Its simple federalism, something our school system is failing at teaching as witnessed by Katrina. Had the National Guard jumped in sooner than it did, because the governor wouldn't give the ok early enough, Bush could've been impeached. And with all the illogical "bush=hitler" rhetoric him sending in the troops without permission would've heated up with some actual substance for once.

Anyway, the flooding during Floyd did not happen because of a federal failure, either.
