Would UTEP ever want to rejoin the WAC?
I am no WAC homer, but many WAC fans love to speculate the possibility of adding UTEP to their conference. So my question is this. Would you as fans want to see a move back to the WAC if it was offered? Why or why not?

RE: Would UTEP ever want to rejoin the WAC?
Nope, I wouldn't be in favor of it..none of the original or old WAC teams are there anymore with the exception of Hawaii... FSU can also be considered one of the "old" schools too but they joined in the 90's.

We don't have too much in common with the schools left in the WAC. NMSU is a rival of UTEP and will always play us no matter what conference either of us are in, so theres no real need to play anyone else in the WAC..would love to play some of the WAC teams in OOC but not conference games anymore. I used to love the WAC but the old WAC..the new WAC seemed like a whole other place to us when the MWaC teams left..so I'd rather stay with our newer Texas partners that have helped us out in recruiting and more media coverage in Texas.

Don't get me wrong, I think BSU, FSU, Nevada, Hawaii and the rest of the WAC schools are great schools.. but I like our new conference a lot and think its a great place for UTEP.
Plus our TV coverage/contract is miles ahead of the WAC's current TV contract, so thats a big plus for UTEP as well.

Man, this board is dead. But to answer your question, NO. Like someone said it's not the same old WAC. I like the new CUSA, and I hope that this year is the coming out year in OOC wins.

The WAC has two teams that people have heard of, or are recognized nationally might be a better way to put it. If UTEP went there it would be a step down.
