RE: Mens Basketball Winning Percentage
Well every team schedules games that it doesn't anticipate to win (unless your at the top eschelon), but that's because you don't get better by playing crappy opponents. It works that way in anything. You have to have a test to see where you really stand. If we just played Campbell's all year long, we'd have a great record but wouldn't know where we stood against better opponents.

I would take a loss on the schedule just to be able to witness something like that.

I'm just waiting for the NBA finals and see if I can be a witness again to a LBJ performance like game 5. That was truly amazing and there's absolutely nothing on TV worth watching right now.

First of all, Kennesaw is dangerously close to being 4-0 against Campbell for its career.

2006 (@Campbell): KSU wins by 4 points in a tightly contested match. This was during the first half of KSU's magical run through the ASun (9-1). Could have gone to Campbell, but KSU's free throw and clutch shooting sealed the victory.

2006 (@KSU): Played this game without Golden Ingle, who in 05-06 carried our entire team. Still only got beat by 8 with basically a JV Squad. With Golden this is probably a win. Without him, KSU made some good runs, but just didnt have enough to beat Campbell.

2007 (@Campbell): Double Overtime game in which 3 of our starters foul out, our top reserve fouls out, and our 2nd guy off the bench has 4 fouls. Campbell shoots 42 FTS! for the game and a game winning basket for KSU is called off due to a charge with .5 seconds left in the 1st overtime. Everything had to go right for Campbell to win that game, and they escaped. Could have easily been a win for the Owls.

2007 (@KSU): KSU controlled the entire game. Ended up winning by 10 points, but it wasnt even that close. Was probably one of the better games that KSU played all year.

In summary...look for KSU to start improving on their .500 record vs. Campbell this coming year. You are doing good things over there, but your location is terrible for recruiting. Ya'll have done a good job so far, but I went to Campbell basketball camp as a kid, and it is in the middle of nowhere. Even with this new gym it is going to be tough to consistently draw top quality recruits.

--------------------------------------

As far as my so called "excuse" that you were laughing about up there...that is plain reality. You are displaying some real ignorance if you are looking at that as an excuse. As a low major team you have to be prepared to get the short end of the stick with referees at high majors. It is called being realistic. Can KSU beat a team like Auburn? Most definitely - we almost took down Georgia last year and they are a much better team than Auburn in my opinion. Is it likely? Nope, and if the refs play favorites it becomes almost impossible.

I read all of this and see and little kid crying because his mommy took away his basketball.
