Regarding Spayed and Neutered
I think its existance hurts the board.... It isnt as much fun...isnt that why we go to the board? Meh, just seems like an idea that some old fart had to keep his precious board pure. Pure sucks.

Thats all.

i agree with you somewhat. It's nice to have a place where you can post complete garbage and have all of the NIU threads in once place, but I liked the way the board was set up before the sub-forum was put into place.

People bitched because of all the OT threads, but if you didn't want to read them, just don't click on them. It's that simple, but some people on here think it's a task in its self

Well, I dont know if its the season, or time of day, or the weekend, or the board setup...the board just seems lifeless.

i think i agree, although i think it has more to do with lots of people leaving and posting on a "secret board"...but i definitely notice a difference in the amount of conversation happening here

RE: Regarding Spayed and Neutered
I think it's more the time of year...the NIU year is done so there's not going to be a lot of news until July rolls around. What do we have? The same NIU topics rehashed for the umteenth time (what's the over/under on days until an "NIU should leave the MAC" thread pops up?)...we can have the same old Cubs/Sox stuff but neither is having a year to get excited about.

What have we got? We've got cicadas to talk about.

I for one welcome our new insect overlords.

I like S&N. It keeps people from bitching about OT stuff being posted on the main board. More work for us mods to move the threads, but less bitching by everyone.

I don't think it is going anywhere.

RE: Regarding Spayed and Neutered
I like it, this board was starting to die before this change. Conversation was pretty much NIL. I much rather have this venue here because when fans from other schools come and visit our board and see the crap that was on there, it frankly makes us look like second rate college football fans. It was getting embarassing.

RE: Regarding Spayed and Neutered
I thought college football was supposed to be a bit crazy...and I thought the overly stiff nature of NFL is what drove many people to be bigger college fans than NFL... maybe thats just me. Or maybe the service is preventing me from producing rational thought. =)
