Duke - 28
UofL - 21
They looked terrible against a poor UK team and their OL was totally exposed. We have an extra day to practice, VERY high confidence and they are either demoralized or motivated. After losing to UK, I'm thinking the former.
Either way, the Cards have been exposed.

Remember, Louisville got woken up by TCU in the last game of last year and proceeded to whip BYU in the Bowl, holding them to under 200 yards offense.
I'm hoping something similar happens.

look, I have never been one to say that Duke is our rival...I know the history of the ACC and I understand the UNC-Duke thing...all I am saying is that two weeks ago, just about everyone on this entire message board (with the exception of a select few <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> ) were all down on Duke football, but now, AFTER ONE FREAKIN GAME (against a **** ass ECU team), everyone is pulling for them....kinda weird to me...
BTW...the "rivalry" between Maryland-Duke has been more "heated" the past few years than UNC-Duke...no one can deny it. (strictly bball, obviously)

Everyone wants to see Duke win because they havent!! Just like everyone wants to see Miami and Oklahoma lose, because they are both tied at #1. It comes with the season, root for the underdog. Me on the other hand, I root for Duke and all ACC teams no matter how good or bad they are, and its even better that Duke won against ECU just because Im TIRED of all the Conference USA is on the rise in football..lookout everyone!!! Well Duke beat ECU and Kentucky beat Louisville, and as I said in a previous post, if Duke beats Louisville, they will be 2-0 against C-USA. It wasnt that long ago that ECU beat Miami either. I'm not riding a bandwagon, but Louisville popped off at the mouth all off season about how they could go undefeated and upset the BCS polls and how they will kill the NOLES at home. SO again GO DUKE!!!!!!!!!

Before Duke wins....
ACC Fans: Man, Duke fans really suck. They do not support their team.
Duke Fans: Yes we do.
ACC Fans: You do not post as much as we do on the internet, so your fans suck.
Duke Fans: It is tough when you are losing, but we still support the team
After Duke wins.....
Duke Fans: Woooohoo! We won! We won! Yeehaw!
ACC Fans: I cannot believe you are excited. It was ONLY ECU.
Duke Fans: We are just happy we won, we are happy for the excitement to be back and we are happy for our team. Bring on Louisville!
ACC Fans: You should not be excited until you beat a real team, which ECU isn't. Duke fans still suck.

Like I said, I will root for all ACC teams no matter how good or bad. It sucks when I have to defend the ACC because as other people put it
1.The Almost Competitive Conference
2.Its a basketball "only league"
3.The Noles first and who cares second in the ACC
So again I root for all ACC teams, that way those ignorant staments get smaller and smaller. Besides when the Noles get at least 10 wins or a BCS bowl bid, the very first thing I hear is... yeah well if my team played in the ACC and played Duke and Wake Forest every year they would have 10 wins too!! So the more we win, the less fans of other conferences have something to say

Why isn't anyone talking about the Louisville game? Duke had the benefit of 4 Louisville turnovers while giving up zero just like against ECU, yet couldn't even get a first down until over 28 minutes into the game. Franks was 0-15 on third downs, and terrible against ECU, like every other game he has ever coached. Roof may be a decent defensive coordinator, but why is Franks still coaching? UMD offensive coordinator Taafe could bring in a new offensive staff and keep Roof if he wants. Should Duke get a completely new staff?
