Repeat issue. I think when things were restarted earlier this week, the search functionality was not turned on. I get no returned results right now, even by just searching for my user name. Too bad this cannot be automated.

On a separate issue, this may be something local, but I haven't been able to isolate it. Every Sunday morning, my last read post in each thread gets reset to the first post. It's been doing this for about 6 weeks, and it affects multiple computers (including my work computer). It doesn't reset the arrow until a new post as been added to a thread (threads without a new post do not indicate there is a new post), but if a new post is added to the thread and I click on the arrow, instead of taking me to the next unread post, it takes me to post #1. Only happens on Sundays, on multiple computers with multiple browsers. Throughout the rest of the week, it works fine. Until Sunday morning.

Anyone with thoughts?

Any thoughts?

Confirmed... Sphinx died again. Yeh, I wish it was automatic as well. I do believe they have it fixed in their latest version but it's not masked in portage yet

Edit: Should be back up now.

Seems you hit it on the nail. Sunday mornings is when we take database backups. Our "threadsread" and "forumsread" tables are stored in memory, so for some reason when the cron job turns off access to the server and takes the backups it must be truncating or removing those tables from memory. No idea why, I'll talk to GTS though.

Our damn host cut power to our server yet again (what caused it, we don't know yet). Sphinx should be back up soon

RE: Problems
I'm having issues with the board displaying threads as having new posts, when there hasn't been a post in up to 3 days, and I've already "marked forum as read". Before the upgrade I had no problem with it keeping track of what threads I had read and hadn't.

Anyone else having this problem?

MacOS 10.5.6
FF 3.0.5

Yes I've cleared cache, cookies, browsing history, etc.

Thanks for fixing both of these. The unread tag seems have worked fine this past weekend. Huge improvement for us readers.

Currently the games plugin is disabled. I'm currently waiting on GTS to send me the the games tables from the 1.2 db so I can upgrade it to the 1.4 version.

Ryan,

Noticed in firefox, sometimes the arrows on the pull down menu disappear, when that happens I have to clear my Cache every time it happens, for the menus to work again. if you need a screen let me know.

Sounds like your computer is trying to use an old version of the file. Is anyone else having this issue?

I don't really have a fix for you because I've never experienced the problem myself. Does it happen on other browsers?

Fixed. Somehow your display usergroup was set to water engineer so it was overriding your primary usergruop.
