Since I'm working I can't quite join in on your echoing but I can say I would love to see this board liven up again. The Rivals site has gotten to the point that it's hardly worth posting something as a few will either post a dozen straight (unfunny) jokes or attack you simply because they can.
TU football looks like it will be very exciting this fall. I'm not looking forward to the OU/TU game as my allegience will be torn.
Even though losing McLean was a blow I think TU basketball could have a breakout season coming up. With mature players peaking, young players maturing, and a better schedule to toughen the guys up I'm hoping for a top 3 finish in the league this coming season.

RE: lonely echo
I used to check over here often but wasn't anything. The other day I saw the humorous echo and couldn't resist the temptation to respond.
NevadaNatural, not everyone agrees with the gripers on Rival and I sure do miss your good posts. Seems like when the negative posters get to posting, the good posters just back away. I am glad Catbird took charge the other day.

RE: lonely echo
Thank you for your comments. I've always enjoyed reading your posts too. You are a true TU supporter. I think those of us that "back away" have better things to do with our lives than make 10000 posts attacking people. When I was younger I might have sat down at the keyboard and argued but life is too short and there are too many things to do for that.
I don't agree with everything that happens in the TU athletic program but as a fan it's not my place to degrade the university, it's players, or it's coaches. I will always support the coaches and players while they are with the University and try to find positive things about the teams and programs rather than searching for negatives as some do. I would like to feel more comfortable over at the TU Rivals site since that's where most TU fans hang out but a few posters, and I think everyone knows who they are, have made it an almost unbearable environment for many of us. I'm a lifelong OU football fan and never post on the OU boards, it's not because my love of OU football is waning but because the fans controlling the board with their posts are unbearable. Unfortunately a few posters are taking the TU Rivals site in the same direction. If you don't have Cane in your handle and agree with everything they say then you "aren't a fan".

RE: lonely echo
My biggest problem with the rivals site is how you cant even ask a question without a few people jumping in and making you feel stupid for asking, then everyone else blows up the thread laughing about it and you still dont have an answer to your question.

RE: lonely echo
I think some of the posters actually think that message boards are to argue on. I have put the rules on there several times but does no good. I hope weatherdemon and Catbird start showing who is boss. I have learned so much there and found such good friends but it is drying up.
