Former Demon Deacon All-American, Jenny Everett, returns to Kentner Stadium

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest field hockey team will play host to the U.S. National Team in an exhibition game on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Kentner Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest University.
Tickets are $5, available at the gate only, beginning two hours before game time on the date of the game. There will be halftime giveaways and autograph signings after the game.
Jenny Everett, a 5-4 forward, will be returning to Kentner Stadium as a member of the U.S. National Team that is preparing for the 2002 World Cup. The all-time scoring leader in Wake Forest history, Everett, is a two-time All-American and two-time Academic All-American that played for the Demon Deacons from 1997-2000 and still holds school records for goals in game, season and career. A 23-year-old native of Rutland, Vt., Everett graduated from Wake Forest in the spring of 2001 with a degree in Business. She works as a Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Consultant for Arthur Andersen. Named to the U.S. National Field Hockey Team in March, Everett earned her first International Cap in April.
Wake Forest, coming off a 16-5 season last year and its second straight trip to the Final Four, opens its regular season Aug. 31 versus Iowa and Sept. 1 against Michigan at North Carolina's tournament in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Demon Deacons will host Radford in their regular season home opener on Sept. 18.
