The "Boilermakers" or the "Troublemakers&quot
Quote:For the second time in less than two weeks, Purdue safety Torri S. Williams has been charged with drunken driving.

Capt. John Cox of the campus police department told the Lafayette Journal and Courier that the sophomore football player was stopped about 3:27 a.m. Friday after he failed to use his turn signal. Cox told the paper that the officer on the scene said Williams appeared intoxicated.

Williams spent four hours in the Tippecanoe County Jail before being released.

Purdue football coach Joe Tiller told the Journal and Courier that Williams has been suspended indefinitely from the team.

Police officials also told the paper that Williams was at the scene of a stabbing earlier that evening where Williams' Purdue teammate Selwyn Lymon was stabbed.

Police officers were called to the parking lot of Nick's Nightclub about 2:15 a.m. Friday morning to a report of a fight in progress, according to John Walker, deputy chief of West Lafayette Police Department.

Walker said officers found about 30 people in the lot, but they dispersed without incident.

No arrests had been made as of Friday morning, but Walker said police had several witnesses to interview.
