Just a few thoughts as I somewhat-quickly read through the thread...

1. My guess is the delinquents trying to look rough n' radical in the photos are middle-to-upper class teens and twentysomethings who are either in public college and/or unemployed. They're following along the Angry Teen Handbook: Plow through some Chomsky and Neitzche books, have some faux-intellectual justification for a communist-anarchist-whateverist allegiance, and run around and break stuff (beavis and butthead-style) like in Seattle several years ago.

2. If we had a wide, aerial shot of that "rally", I'm wondering if we'll see all of about 50 people, 40 of them more curious of the display than actually participating in the flag burning and donning pseudo tough-guy costumes.

3. I know a lot of center-left Democrat voters, and none of them would support this scene. There is your typical Democrat neighbor who may favor a few extra publicly funded programs than your Average Joe, then there is your A.N.S.W.E.R. quasi-socialist 'I protest anything/I'm entitled to everything' losers. There is a clear separation between the two.

4. That said, Democratic Underground's message board is populated by quite a number of 'out there' left-wingers. A lot of them sound like the Ann Coulters of the Left. The board is at times generally unreadable.

at alot of these protest they get their peace signs and mercedes emblems mixed up., this is from a year ago or so.



I'll say it again, these people are not for peace, but they apparently do support Mercedes-Benz. I have a real Peace sign on the back of my Mercedes SUV to poke fun at any of these loons in the area though they'd probably never get it.

also, in January they had an "Beach Impeach" protest. Its hard not to look at these pictures and not conclude that not only are they leftist but are also cultist. What is hilarious is they had TinFoil for the picture then afterwards many of them started placing the TINFOIL ON THEIR HEADS!
