NAMBLA can employ their own council. Defending them pro bono is a gross error in judgement IMO. There are organizations that are so disgusting and so deplorable that providing them free legal council is beyond pathetic IMO.

thats the thing about america though, no matter how sick or disgusting, you're still allowed to believe what you want. once you say one belief isnt allowed, its a slippery slope.

Where did I say they couldn't believe what they want? What I said was that what they believe, i.e. raping young boys is the way to go, is disgusting and in no way, shape or form worthy of free legal council to defend them.

what constitutes a "civil liberty" is up to interpretation in many cases, atleast to some(usually criminals), doesn't make it really a "civil liberty". where was the ACLU when parents were losing their parental rights to abortion clinics in the recent parental notification disputes? Of course the ACLU are basically commies trying to undermine our country so they probably think we should be like Cuba and at age 4 the State owns your children and has rights over them.

the IRS violates our right to privacy more than any other government agency by far, IMO. The day the ACLU goes after them is the day pigs fly.

The ACLU was actually founded by a communist.

Nope. My "rightism" didn't get in the way. I think they should have already executed Padilla, right after a military tribunal.
