Hey TIGERFREAK, while you are here can you let us know the proper way to construct a foundation for a double-wide?

But Clemson fans are not entertaining at all when they think the entire ACC is against them. I thought Wake fans were overly conspiracy theory oriented, but Clemson fans take the prize on that distinction easily.

Listen Freak, my original post was to draw attention to idiocy, but the message was included something called sarcasm.

Wake Forest fans, sorry for any disrespect. I honestly think that Wake Forest could not only be the suprise team of the ACC but of the whole country (ala Maryland). I'm glad to see that Wake has made some major improvements in the football program. I'm tired of the ACC being the laughing joke of college football you guys have done you're part, i just wish duke could do the same.

My main question is who do who have on your team? I know you can compete, but i don't know anything about your team. If you could give me some insight about your team it would be much appreciated. I'm glad to see that a team that hasn't exactly been even close to respectable is making the steps foward to become a football school. I am proud of every school in the ACC except Duke (I hate Duke, they are not only the laughing stock of the ACC but the whole country) but i still don't know anything about Wake. Please give a list of some of your star players, upcoming recruits, and what Wake's future is for it's coaches and facilities. Thanks

The link is to a 32 page spring guide that has a ton of information about what you ask.

An extremely quick overview is:

We return our QB, James McPherson, who has a knack for winning, but threw more int's than td's last year. This year he will not have to share time which will hopefully improve his consistency.

Our RB's are very strong. Sr Tarrence Williams, 2nd team all-ACC, rushed for just over 1000 yrds, but he only played in 10 games. Backing him up will be another outstanding back in Jr Fred Staton, who rushed for over 500 yards last year and had 150 in the spring game.

WR is not as weak as people expect IMO. Jason Anderson was our leading receiver last year as a redshirt freshman with about 500 yards. He has size, 6-3 I think, and speed and will evolve into another great receiver for Wake. Fabian Davis is speedy and reliable receiver also and will take over for John Stone in the slot I believe. Anthony Young is moving from QB to receiver and is the X factor of this group. He has the moves in the open field but lack the fundamentals of catching the simple passes and tucking the damn ball away.

The OL lost 3 starters and they will be thin. Someone must step up in the fall to take over the center position, and any number of injuries could spell trouble.

TE position is good with our starter returning, but I cannot remember his name. We also have Olvie Mughelli, who plays both FB and TE. He is an absolute beast and just needs to find his nitche in the new offense.

Secondary should be another strength in that we return everyone from last year. Our int's more than doubled last year from the previous year, but that is not saying much. We are very deep here, but they run into problems when the opposing QB has time to send up a weather ballon to check the barametric pressure before throwing the ball.

Our LB's are going to be at least decent. We have a Middle LB, Brad White I think, who transferred from UGA and is a sophmore. From everything I hear he is an excellent player and our leader already. Kellen Brantley is a returning starter who had about 100 tackles and several int's. We have a couple of others including Jamie Scott, a converted RB who had a good spring.

DL is also going to be weak along with the OL. The loss of Nate Bolling, the white guy from last year who was always in the opposing backfield, is really going to hurt. Calving Pace is our best player back, and he wil have a chance to break the all-time sack record at Wake. Montique Sharpe is another returning starter at noseguard I think.

Our recruiting class was solid with the two highlights being defensive players. Bryan Andrew is the star LB from Ohio who was a Parade all-American. We also got a DL from western NC who chose Wake ahead of USC and is supposed to be great. You will not hear much from our recruits as they will almost all be redshirted.

It will be very similar to last year. We will surprise some people and lose some that we think we should win.
