Who would take the Raiders job?
I'm on the record as NOONE and that means Al Davis will have to coach.

They should just hire whichever one of Buddy Ryan's kids it is coaching their defense, he is pretty good. The neat thing about the NFL is even the worst teams can be turned around fairly quickly with just a couple of key draft picks and free agent signings, just look at New Orleans this year.

you say that as if it's exclusive to the NFL. Look at the Marlins. hell, look at the AFC championship game. The colts and pats again, what a surprise.

The Marlins are clearly the exception and not the rule. Orioles, Devil Rays, Pirates, Rockies...these are all teams that have been in the basement for a long time, and dont really have much of a chance at coming out.
Every year nearly every team has a chance in the NFL.

even though they really don't. for the most part, the same teams seem to have the same ending every year.

Do you realize that the Bears won a playoff game for the first time in something like 12 years this season?
Do you realize that both the Jets and New Orleans were picked to finish dead last in their division this year?
Do you realize that Carolina and Miami were popular picks to make the superbowl this season but neither made the playoffs?
Do you realize that Tennessee was supposed to be one of the worst teams in the league and they nearly made the playoffs?
Do you realize the defending champions failed to make the playoffs?
Parity reigns supreme in the NFL.

Oakland hired Lane Kiffin to be their new coach.

I dont understand why anyone would hire a college coordinator with no head coach experience to be their guy but whatever. One USC guy turns them down so they offer the job to another one. lmfao lmfao lmfao Whatever.

do you realize that the NFL gives bad teams an easy schedule? that isn't parity, it's affirmative action. Take a look at the Jets schedule.

Do you realize that teams in the same division play the exact same schedule except for 2 freakin games?

2 games is 12.5%. that's an enormous difference. Imagine, for a second, that the Reds and Cardinals played the same schedule for 142 games, but for the other 20 the cards had to play the mets, astros, dodgers, etc., while the Reds got to play the pirates, nationals, etc. Don't you think the Reds would come away with a better record? 2 games is an enormous difference. That's the difference between being a division winner and being out of the playoffs in the NFC.

The Jets two games were Oakland, and Cleveland, both games they SHOULD have won, but they split these games, winning the last game of the season against Oakland and losing to Cleveland.
Just for comparison purposes, Indy (a good team last year and consequently this year) played Cincinnati and Denver in their two games, two non-playoff teams, they won both games.
Just goes to show that those two games are not going to make or break your season. The Jets played two of the worst teams in the league, they still managed to lose one and still made the playoffs. Also, I think it would be important to note that very rarely will the team who has the toughest schedule on paper before the season begins have the toughest actual schedule by the end of the season.
The strength of schedule argument in the NFL is weak IMO, yeah, sometimes average teams take advantage of an easy schedule, but more often than not NFL schedules are pretty even, especially since the way the schedules were made changed with the most recent expansion.

I doesn't really matter who they hire because their not gonna be able to get a quality coach. They're gonna have to end up hiring a college coach thats nieve enough to actually want to coach this team.
