I'm growing tired of the defenses Marvin is sending out there. He might be looking at a new job next year if he doesn't turn this team around. Un-f*cking-believable.

Lewis is going to be on the hot seat with all the off-field problems (fair or unfair) and their on-field meltdown this season. The Bengals are a mess right now.

Hey, you're talking to an Atlanta sports fan. Our pro teams have one single, solitary championship.

No chance Lewis is on the hot seat. How quickly you forget how awful the team was before he got there. Do you guys remember Bruce Coslett?

Before Lewis that franchise hadnt accomplished anything since Boomer Esiason was there in the mid 80s. Firing Lewis would be a huge mistake.

Ok quick question for you guys. What has Marvin Lewis done for this team except draft Carson Palmer and reshape the mindset? Without Palmer this team would be lucky to win 4 games. He is overrated as a coach.

So I take it you dont remember Coslett.

Four short years ago the Bengals were one of the worst teams in the NFL. The team has improved every year under Lewis. Mike Brown consistently bungled the draft, the Jets get all the press for being a horrible draft day team but the Bengals were probably just as bad. David Klinger, KiJana Carter, Akili Smith, bad draft picks year after year. They have been better in recent years but I have to think that Lewis has had some input in these picks since he has been there. Either way, im convinced the Bengals would still be a pathetic franchise without Lewis.

Seriously, dont underestimate the "changing the mindset" aspect. You cannot win without a winning attitude. First and foremost he brought a winning mindset to the franchise. I mean he did ok with Kitna as the starting QB his first year there. It isnt all Palmer.

I'm not saying he should fired, because he shouldn't, but I understand how the business of the NFL works. This is the ultimate what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league. It doesn't take much to get on the hot seat in today's NFL.

I see your point, but I think it takes more than one subpar half season to be put on the hot seat. Everyone is saying that they are finished but it is definitely possible that they still make the playoffs this season. And the fact that this is the Bungles we are talking about, should reinforce that idea. After what Cincinnati fans have been through the past decade + they should have more patience with a coach that actually wins, if they dont, they dont deserve him and they can go back to being the laughing stock of the league without him.

So just because our previous head coaches were awful, that means that Marvin is the savior. All he has done is draft Carson Palmer, and even that was obvious as we had the top pick his first year here.

Im saying he is by far the best you have had for a long long time. If you out him, if nothing else, its horrible Karma.

If you guys do fire him and Joe Gibbs calls it quits, I sure hope the skins go after him. He would definitely be on my short list.

At least he would have some defensive talent to work with.
