No but maybe he should of. I promise you he wouldn't of had a 29% approval rating this summer.

Talk now is that Bolton may be next. I think that would be a bad move. The guy has done well at the UN. He'd have been confirmed had Chafee not put a hold on his vote.

that's right. He has never been confirmed. He will be out. My aunt has a good friend who works for Bolton. Not that any of you should care about that, but Aunt Lou will be upset.

Tone down the Rhetoric..... The whole country can see the war was clusterfcked from the begining. Do you remember the you go to war with the Army you have and not the one you want line. Well you better *** **** go prepared when you choose the time and place.

Armored humvees
Post construction plans on the back of a cocktail napkin
not enough troops to win the peace

these are the things I feel we botched in Iraq.

Funny thing about war, things don't always go according to plan. Good thing they weren't broadcasting D-day or we would have had to pull the troops off Omaha beach when casualties reached a certain point instead of finishing the job.

Yeah, but we're supposed to take the bullspit from NYT, et al, and then ask for seconds. 01-wingedeagle

Nope, but if you're going to cite media bias it might be better to find a source that isn't blatantly biased. I'm sure, like here, you're going to find people on both sides of the issues in Iraq.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, get your news from multiple sources.

We'd have never made it to Omaha. Operation Overlord would have been leaked and been out in the papers in May and when asked about it they'd scream freedom of the press.

How about from Iraqi's themselves? You seem to think I've been sitting on my ass here in Georgia for the past 5 years.

Too true. We'd have brought them home after the Kasserine Pass fiasco.

Yep, right after they ran the news reel of a german sniper killing one of our soldiers. Cause you know, that's news.

....and a few years before that we'd have been trying to appease the Japanese and find out why they didn't like us.

Of course, I mean after all it was our foreign policy that forced them to attack Pearl Harbor. Had we given them what they wanted they would never had attacked.

You seem to think that you're the only person I know who has been to Iraq. And you also seem to think that one Kurdish leader is representative of all of Iraq. I know that there are opinions on many different sides in Iraq.

I know. We were such odious bastards. How dare us for cutting off the oil to their war machine. All they wanted to do was control the Pacific and Southwest Asia. Damn we can be cruel.

I guess we'll never learn that the only time to fight someone is when they show up on our soil.
