Maybe everyone who gets to the TOC can post their evaluations here. Here's the first!...

Michael Nardi's team went against a taller, deeper, more talented team tonight. I had Michael, very unofficially, with 18 points and a few very nice assists. I forgot the exact score, but his team lost by 13..something like 77-64. I was impressed by Nardi's leadership, toughness, and smarts. He would have had close to 30 had he not missed several layups. He shot better in the second half, but he did miss several bunnies. I saw him talking to Archie after the game. Maybe some of that stroke will rub off on him (JK). Michael did hit 3 or 4 threes. IMO I believe he has the quickness and headiness to play in the ACC though he needs to work on finishing and not forcing things- he had TOO MANY turnovers from forced passes. This was only one game and Michael may have been a little nervous given the importance of this tournament as it may relate to his college destination. I look foward to seeing Michael play a few more games this weekend. Please, someone else who went, give your opinion and correct me if necessary. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" /> I will give my humble reports as soon as I can.

Mustafa Shakur- This was another case of our man being on the less talented/organized team. Mustafa's team lost 75-60. He scored over a third of his teams points. I had him with 23 and I missed the first 6 minutes of the (32 minute)game. He only had 7 at the break because his team didnt always look to him in the first half and he didnt demand the rock like he probably should have. He bombed in 4 or 5 threes. He has nice elevation when he shoots his jumper. He's quick and sees the floor well. He had several nice assists including an almost halfcourt alley oop pass. A VERY NICE PG! Shakur is rangy and smooth. I know the competition for him is heated and he may be leaning toward the Big East, but MAN it would be nice to land him.

WOW! I went back this afternoon to see Shakur again and he was awesome. I couldnt keep track of all his points, but he was at least in the mid 30s. He froze a defender with a nice crossover at one point and went in for a layup. That drew "Ah"s from Julius, Levi, and Jordan, who were in the house. He had several nice passes and played good D this game as well. He also must have hit 6 or 7 threes. Folks, if he isnt our #1 target right now then I'd like to see #1. Mustafa would be a piece to a Final Four puzzle, IMO. Come on down to Raleigh!! He is still wide open according to those in the know.

Supposedly Shakur was very impressive at the camps this month. He and Chris Paul are the best PGs in the class.

Some are saying that perhaps the Heels have offered Shakur now. If true (which I'm not sure about), it would seem to be even later in the game that when we jumped in with Chris Paul....
