Carlos Lee to the Rangers
Carlos Lee and Nelson Cruz for Kevin Mench, Lance Nix and Cordero.
I don't see why Milwaukee did this. Cordero hasnt been great this year, he lost the closer job to Atsuka and Mench and Nix are average. The team moral will be down in Milwaukee. Reds are in town tonight, time to go for the throat.

the brewers did it because they knew they were probably gonna lose him anyway. so, at least they got a 20-25, 80-90 guy and a good arm. actually i don't see why texas did it. i understand they didn't give it much, but wouldn't it have been smarter to use mench to get a starter?

Mench is not that great. His numbers are inflated because of that one week when his shoe was too small. In Milwaukee he will be servicable, avrerage. Nix is garbage, Cruz might end up being the most useful player, long term, for either team in this deal. I don't understand Cordero, his ERA is approaching 5 and his opponents OPS against him is over .700. Thats Danny Graves territory.

i know his numbers are inflated, but he's pretty good. he can definitely hit 20 homers, which is more than shea hillenbrand can say.

btw, nelson cruz is 26, not exactly young.
also, a .710 OPS against isn't that bad.

Frankie Cordero will be the steal in this trade. His stuff isn't diminished, he just got off to a slow start. His peripherals strongly suggest that he's pitched better than his ERA. I think he could be a great closer in the Beer City.

They just got Doug Bell was a minor league pitcher. Doug Melvin is a retard, does he not realize that they are done as far as the wild card goes?

Some random guy named Doug Bell would probably help them more than that piece of garbage David Bell.
