Republicans screw up Net Neutrality YET AGAIN
The strict net neutrality bill failed in subcommittee on a 11-11 tie. Senator Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) was the only Republican to vote for the bill.

As someone who claims to be libertarian I'm not sure how you can support any government regulation in this case. You are supposed to want to be totally capitalist, no government involvement in business.

I do not support monopoly practices.... and make no mistake about it... the current status quo in the United States with the cables and telecoms is clearly that of a duopoly.

Germany, France, Japan, etc etc .... 100 Mbit down, 50 Mbit up ... $20 USD/mo
United States .... 3 Mbit down, 0.5 Mbit up ... $45 USD/mo
... If you live in all 3 places with fiber to the curb ...
30 Mbit down ... 15 Mbit up ... $30 USD/mo

I support capitalism, but I can see when capitalism has failed. This country could use another Teddy Roosevelt trust-busting President.

It's that way in Australia I believe. It's variable rate, cost being higher during peak hours and lower during the early AM and late at night. You are charged by how much you download .... it's essentially billed exactly like power is here in the US.
