Quote:K - you're challenged. What is my stance on:

abortion

gay marriage

affirrmative action

gun control

flag burning amendment

Sure I'll take a crack at it.
You are pro-life, anti-gay marriage, anti-affirrmative action, anti-gun control and anti-flag burning amendment.

Like I said, not trying to flame but it seems like everyone on here is firmly in 2 camps and nobody strays from the party line. I don't think anyone is a completely "independent" thinker but I was just pointing out what I saw.

wrong, wrong, right, wrong, wrong

edit: A drunken monkey flipping a coin would be expected to get 3 right, +/- 1. Maybe you aren't as perceptive as you think, or maybe we aren't as cookie-cutter. Or maybe you just have bad luck flipping coins.

Not to be the token math geek here but your assumption is only true if you have an infinite number of attempts to flip the coin.

Bell curve. It doesn't take an infinite number of attempts to show that the probabability of getting heads twice in a row is 25% and so on. It sounds as though you are saying that we cannot make any statement about probability without an infinite number of trials, and I know that you aren't saying that.
So what are are you saying?

Heck, I gave him a gimmee on the AA, so really he is 0-fer-4. hardly the result expected from someone who says he can almost predict what we will say before we post.

Pick a few issues and let's see how good he is at predicting you. This could be fun. A Mr. Obvious suit to the first guy he gets five for five. Probability is, given an infinite number of trials, he will peg someone.

The Libertarian party seems to be constantly fighting amongst itself. When I say that I'm libertarian that doesn't mena I belong to the party, but that my philosophy lines up with libertarian ideals most closely. I evaluate all candidates as equally as I can for each election. I vote for both Dems and Repubs, as well as 3rd party candidates.

So Optimistic Owl is in favor of legalized Abortion, Gay marriage, Gun control, and a flag burning ammendment. Yet is also a supporter of the war in Iraq and a Sean Hannity listener. If all that is true then you certainly have unique political views. My apologies.

First, I come to my opinions my way. I listen to both sides, i think about it, and i come to a conclusion. Then I discuss and listen some more, and sometimes change my mind. I don't think I am unique; rather I think that I am like many in the middle, subscribing to a mix of viewpoints, represented wholly be neither right or left. I think the vast majority of voters are like this, not at all the cookie-cutter types you seem to see everywhere. Listen to the people on this board over a long period of time, and you will continually be surprised at the differing viewpoints and their sometimes surprising sources. This requires an open mind. Get one.

As fuor the Sean Hannity listener, you seem to have a little trouble with either your reading comprehension or your prejudices. I was listening to Hannity AND COLMES. Colmes is there for a reason - to present opposing views and facts. You assummed that i was listening only to Hannity - why did you assume that? In fact, besides H&C, I listen to to both Colmes and Hannity on their individual radio shows. Some people may have been Hannitized, other may be Colmesated. You think I am the former, I think you are probably the latter.

You come here as a little Mr. Know-it-all, spouting off opinions based on bias and incorrect assumptions. I hope this will change as you get older. Heck, I was 17 once myself. It will probably pass.
