Does this worry anyone besides myself? Also, do you think this will lead to some sort of US/Israel military intervention?

No. The military is still busy with Afghanistan and Iraq, Israel doesn't care, and the United States wouldn't go to war over its currency anyway.

I doubt that this will have much of an affect. Traders get rich by predicting events, and trading based on them. At this point, all traders are under the assumption that this would happen, so whatever damage this would do, has been done already. In the end, the United States consumes a quarter of the world's oil, and a significant portion of the world's oil refineries are owned by American oil companies, so even if the oil itself isn't purchased in Euros, the U.S. dollar will be involved in many (if not most) of the transactions.

exactly The Us dollar is still gonna be the Oil funding currency of choice. if this hurts anyone it will be IRan.
