Duke
Just read a report that the accuser in the Duke case filed a rape charge 10 years ago against three(!) men, accusing them of raping her three years previously. No charges were filed.

Did she go back and re-tell her story to include the possibility of a broom stick like she's doing this time...?

I don't get that? You would think that would have been one of the first things that came out in this. Also, maybe someone should find that broomstick and DNA test it.

Top 10 Things that would likely happen before the Durham PD discovered the alleged broomstick:

10) MongoSlade tailgating at the Elm Street lot in Greenville before an ECU conference game.

9) NC State finding its next basketball coach.

8) Me and Scourging7Seas agreeing on something. Wait a minute... have to scratch that one...

7) GrayBeard attending a Carolina game in Chapel Hill not involving a C-USA opponent.

6) TopCoog being right about anything, including his name.

5) OTM not being the "suck"

4) Cynthia McKinney acting like a mature, responsible Congresswoman serving her district with dignity...

3) ...and that mainstream media would report on #3 if it happened.

2) "The Syndicated Columnist" Charles Krauthammer wearing his tie in a not crooked fashion when appearing on the "Fox All-Stars".

1) "And the starting running back for the Miami Dolphins... Ricky Williams!"

So now the DA must reconfigure his theory of the crime to allow for this. Once they make a charge, it is wiggle wiggle wiggle any way you can to convict them, even if evidence to the contrary shows up.

Election today. Hope there's not a runoff. Maybe once the election pressure is off, the DA can suddenly decide that there is not enough here to prosecute. DAs hate losing cases second only to the hatred of losing elections.

I heard the DA won reelection. Wishful thinking: now instead of acting politically, now he will start acting legally. Expected outcome: he will let this drag on for another six or so months, till it is not in the news very much, and then he will quietly drop the case.

Guys like this DA undermine my (shrinking) faith in the system.
