Does racism exist, sure it does from all directions. Can you be certain that racism was the cause of the buses burning? I mean absolutely certain?

The immigration issue is NOT a race issue. I don't approve of illegal Canadian immigrants either.

More to the point, since you want to mince words, and seem to have no appreciation of precision vs accuracy:

1. Most issues in the US are conflicts of CULTURE, not RACE.

2. While there is still some racism in the US, it is at a level as low or lower than any other time/place in the history of the world.

3. Most of the racism that exists is expressed internally. Blatant external discrimination occurs rarely, it is seen mostly in the minds of TV and newspaper storywriters.

4. The events that do occur come equally from all races toward all other races.

query: who really benefits from the nonsense surrounding so many accusations of racism?

As mentioned above, immigration issues are not necessarily race issues. And you can't be sure that the bus burning was race related.

For the Record, I live in the Orlando area, which I would guess really trumps the Atlanta immigration point.

Percentagewise over the past decade, Atlanta is in the top 2 nationally in immigrant growth in the hispanic and asian sectors.

Change is tough for some people, especially southerners.

What is the percentage of population? Either way, Orlando, Atlanta, any Texas city, etc., immigration issues does not necesarily equate to racism.

I think the article said it was up to a whopping 3 or 4 percent.

And street names don't change every 5 blocks in Atlanta because people are overly creative here...

Atlanta streets change names often, the most prevalent occurs when all the north-south streets change their names at Ponce (one of the main East-West drags through town), which is a holdover from the segregation days.
