Hard to believe. I would have thought, in all the years of baseball, some team would have jumped out to a five-game lead quicker than the Mets have.

LOL, to tell you the truth, i'd like to see how we could match up. i mean, how starters have one of the best ERA's in the NL and that's with lowry being injured.

Braves pretty much dominated the Mets tonight behind a complete game gem from Kyle Davies. With our pitching really coming together, we could really send a message and add to the Mets inferiority complex with another win tomorrow.

We're still in their heads, IMO. And if it's a tight race between us down the stretch, the Mets know things will go our way.

that was quick! NY fans are notoriously impatient, lol. i heard heilmann, who had been pitching well, was booed the other day because he had one bad game.

a couple days ago it was "largest lead in history 02-13-banana "
now it's "our bench is horrible." gotta love NY fans

Braves win 2-1 to take the series behind a Hudson CG.

What was that about our staff? In the last turn through the rotation, we've got three complete games and another start from Thomson where he allowed only one hit in six innings. Gotta love the Mets...the ultimate get-well gift for the Braves.

Death, taxes and the Braves owning the Mets. The three certainties in life.

And oh yeah, spare me the "Mets had a depleted lineup" speech. Yeah, they didn't have Floyd and Beltran. We didn't have Giles, Renteria and Chipper.

i bet the mets fans are starting to sweat again.

i know the braves didn't have those 3 guys, but i wasn't talking about the two teams matching up, i was talking up the braves pitchers against the mets lineup, but it doesn't matter now. hudson ate everyone.
