I can just see it now. Barry Bonds is being targeted because he is black and going to break the Babe's records. BS. He LIED to a Grand Jury and they'll prove it. You know the Mark McGwire comparisons will come up and I hope they do. When he was subpoenaed (sp?) he didn't lie and probably cost himself the Hall of Fame.

I'm one Democrat who still holds out that he didn't lie. A long story and I've seen the quote where he said he misled .. blah blah blah.....

but 2 out of the three definitions for sexual harassment were thrown out by Clinton's lawyers because they were to broad and could be misconstrued and we all know he didn't penetrate that woman.

Yeah, I know that Clinton used a middle-school definition of sex to try and get around the fact that he lied. Some people accept this definition. I hope your middle-school daughter doesn't.

The connecting words are "lied to a grand jury" (see initial post).

So the initial connection was perjury.

The sex thing was brought up in the the usual excuse mode. I wonder if steroids, like sex, is on the list of things it is OK to lie to a grand jury about. I think it is. I think the only topic that you cannot lie to a grand jury about is campaign donations.

Does this really require a grand jury? Just let baseball handle him. Deny him the hall of fame just like Pete Rose. I always thought that the Pete Rose thing would blow over and it never has, let Bonds suffer the same punishment and fade away into obscurity.
