I think Alito will be confirmed, but I voted for the world ending an no one cares. Why did I vote that way?

I would love to see the dems try and filibuster. The have NOTHING to base it on. All this crap about Alito belonging to an all male club. Hell, the swimmer was an Owl at Harvard. I loved seeing the swimmer get his hat handed to him by Specter on Wednesday. Funny, it seems that the papers ted wanted to see wont help. The NYT had alread interviewed many of the CAP members, including the owner of the papers, and they indicated Alito was not a playa! The whole process is disgusting.

He'll probably get confirmed. He has answered most questions like Roberts and he coasted through. Harriet Myers had no business being nominated and even most republicans can agree on that.

For his ideology - which many leftists claim runs adjacent to satan - he is well qualified, and a very respectable judge. There is no question there. The main issue here is Roe v. Wade, which is unfortunate.

He should be confirmed though - the gang of 14 will collapse if anyone even tries to fillibuster, then we go nuclear... could be fun though!

I agree. Although I don't necessarily believe in God or about Jesus coming back, we have too many psychotics in the White House who believe it so they will do ANYTHING to try to make happen and as soon as possible.
