Defense has no leader or heart, and Chris Rix cannot read defensive schemes. Look at the past great defenses of FSU and you will see two leaders on every squad. Who were the leaders on last years defense????? NOBODY! Who has emerged as a leader in 2002???? NOBODY! How close did they get to sacking Seneca Williams 10' or 15'? Chris Rix strong arm, slow release and could not hit the side of a barn running across mid field. Tucks and runs from the pocket before play can develope. He has potential but when your FSU you can not wait til it develops. As for the defense, lets just say what defense. With a great defese we could carry Chris Rix but with no defense we are looking another 9-4 season at best.

We have played all of ONE game. If you don't expect us to improve this year, then don't watch Florida State because YOU WILL be disappointed.

I, on the other hand, will be rooting and hollaring and praying if I must. Go back and look at 1993's 1st game. Charlie Ward was a GREAT qb, but he sure could put the scare in you. No comaparison to the 1993 team. They had a great defense. Most teams build on what they had a year ago. The Noles should have looked much better then last year even after one game. Florida State has never played that well it's first game. I've been watching the Seminoles since 1964.
