JD? Hoops?

Just curious to see if the old Charlotte followers will still root for the Hornets even though they defected to New Orleans.

I won't pull against the Hornets, because I liked the nucleus of players and I enjoyed what they gave the city of Charlotte. But, I won't exactly pull for them either. I will be happy for the players if they do well, though.

The Boston Celtics were my team before the Hornets came to Charlotte. They are now my team again until another team gets here....

It's like the entire history of the Hornets in Charlotte has been erased, and everyone is pretending the Jazz never left New Orleans.

Of course. Everyone remembers Pistol Pete's illustrious career with the Hornets. But, on the other hand, the Ravens did retire Johnny Unitas' number when they came into existence.

What I don't understand is why they didn't change the colors/nickname. New Orleans Hornets has no ring to it. And those unis... 03-puke

True, but at least the old Cleveland Browns fans didn't have to see the Baltimore Browns retiring Unitas' number.

This is one of a million reasons why Shinn should have changed the name and left "Hornets" here with us.
