I just thought about this, there is absolutely very little game footage that shows the style of offense TB will show for the upcoming 2002 season. The run first QB that we have seen for the past two seasons will show no insight into the new dropback QB we now have. Try preparing for that. Plus i have seen Clemson getting a lot of slack for having a new QB running our offense. Sorry but Willie is not a Freshman QB, for those that don't know he has already GRADUATED from Clemson. He's a smart guy with the talent that has spent the last THREE years learning the system. Woody kept us in every game and he is one of the greatest if not the greatest QB in Clemson history but WILLIE CAN WIN.

He is a better pure QB than Woody was. I do not hink this year is the year for Clemson, but next year is looking good. I just think the OL is too think. I could be wrong, but it is one year too early.

Will Clemson be patient.

I never said that Willie was going to lead us to a great year (BCS bowl type of season). The intent of my post was to show that we have a very capable QB. I've seen plenty of post predicting Clemson to finish anywhere from 5th to 8th in the ACC and the main reason people believe this is because we lose Woody. Just trying to show that losing Woody will not hurt us as much as people expect.

Actually Willie "Shotgun" Simmons can lead us to a great season. From what everyone is predicting that would be a long shot, but those predictions are never right. Hey, didn't they predict Ga Tech to win the ACC last year? There's always a few to fall from expectations and about 5 teams step up and surprise the nation. I'm not saying that we'll be one of those teams, but we definately have the arsenal for a shot. The great thing is that we're totally underestimated because we lost Dantzler. He was a great player that could pick apart most teams, but it was more of a one man show. This year everyone will contribute and that's not what teams are use to when they play us. So.....look out Georgia here we come!

Everyone keeps saying how we are gonna suck now b/c woody is gone. But the truth is our offense is gonna be better than last year's. Now with Simmons here the WRs will be in the game more. Simmons will step out of Woody's shadow next year to prove everyone wrong. Willie has been waiting his whole life for this moment, he will not disapoint.
