The A's traded for Ray Durham last night. I've been a big Oakland fan the last 3 years, and I'm sticking with them.
Go A's!

yah..the race is close and my mariners finally have their rotations down it seems. they gave up to many runs Anaheim when they were in Cali but did a better job the following weekend in Seattle.
I am not sure how Anaheim will hold out though because they play the tougher teams like Boston, Oakland, and NY Yanks more times then the Mariners do.
should be a great west in the AL though. I don't see Texas in the picture. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" /> poor A-Rod.

I am just glad that the Mariners beat Detriot last night and Boston held off Anahiem on ESPN. I think Seattle is slowing but surely going to pull away from the Angels.

"Poor A-rod"
Poor? HA! He chose to go to a losing team in Texas...you might say they're awesome, and they are, well, they would be if Ivan, Juan, and Rafael were all at their prime...but their not...
they have absolutely NO pitching whatsoever, and they just cant get by with everyone healthy at one time...
early it was IRod, now Juan-Gone
What do you do with a team that has hitter after hitter but nooo pitching???
Yes, they have scored like 17 and 19 runs in 2 games this past weeks...thats the only way they can win games though!
You never see any 1-0 2-1 2-0 3-2 type of games that Texas is in
They need to do some moves in the off-season, get rid of Juan Gonzalez, Ivan Rodriguez, or one of those big contracts and trade them for a pitcher or 2...
But for right now, Texas is going to stay in the dumps until they make a move for a pitcher...
Fair Hitting will beat Terrible pitching
Bad Hitting will beat Terrible pitching
Terrible hitting will beat Terrible pitching
Point is: Texas can not have a winning season unless they get a good solid starting pitcher
