I know there aren't many people on this board but it's a good topic so please reply with which players you think have the best shots at making either first or second team All-ACC.

My predictions are that the following are definites
TE - Ben Hall
LB - John Leake
S - Eric Meekins
K - Aaron Hunt
WR - Pick One (whichever one has the best season)

I also think that one of the DL, OL and RB's have an outside shot but none of these guys have really shown the potential the above players have in the real game. (With the exception of the RB's)

comments anyone

My best pick for wide reciever would be Derrick Hamilton or either JJ McKelvey. JJ McKelvey really turned it up in the latter part of 2001. I have a feeling he's going to have a breakout senior year. (McKelvey for All ACC first team - 1,000 yard reciever in 2002.) Also I feel we'll have a few surprisers coming form our Defense this year - we always do. The truth is that the ACC gave Clemson players no respect while honoring the All ACC 1st and 2nd preseason team.

YOU MUST BE CRAZY! Aaron Hunt? Have you ever heard of Luke Manget, who has the NCAA record of PAT's in a row?

Im not sure about Leake either...

Donnell Washington is a beast... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> We haven't had a DL this good in TigerTown since Trevor Pryce. I say Ben Hall is definite All-ACC and maybe All-American material with everything else up for grabs.

Ok, so far i've been questioned for putting Aaron Hunt and John Leake on my All-ACC first or second team. Wow, is the ACC in for a suprise. Hunt, Leake, and Hall are the top three players i believe have a chance at making All-ACC.

Hunt is consistent into the mid to long 40 yd. range. He showed he had nerves of steel when he made the game winning field goal with time running out against SC in 1999 as a freshman and has improved ever since.

Leake was a transfer last season and took some time adjusting to the system but as the season progressed he stood out. Next season should only build on 2001 and everyone will see that he is the real thing. Easily All-ACC. Clemson has always been good at producing linebackers and Leake is no exception, he'll have a great season comparable to some of the all time greats in Clemson LB history.

These two plus Ben Hall, who in my opinion could be a future NFL tightend, are my top three definite picks for first or second team All-ACC. And if the ACC and the rest of the country under estimates these three, well then everybody is in for a big suprise because the rest of the team is far behind.

Most Underestimated Team in the ACC, other than Wake Forest.

Hamilton should have a great season, but JJ Mckelvey should break out during his senior year. These two will be feared by any team we play because you never know what these guys can do. If our O-line can hold up good enough for Simmons this year all he will have to do is lob the ball in the air. Our wide receivers have matured and they all should be ready to do some damage in 2002.

No way either of the WR's will make it...neither the Kicker...maybe 2nd team...but not first...thats Manget's spot...

Tech- You are dfinately mistaken about the WRs. I say two of them will make first team all ACC. We should have a second team WR also.
