Well not technically but they will probably be renamed. We can probably thank the "Wuf" pack for all of this. They cheated us out of the Tangerine Bowl last year with dirty tactics.

I don't think they should change the Citrus. The name is starting to cary a mistique like the Rose Bowl or Sugar Bowl or Fiesta Bowl. It's "one of the biggies."

The Tangerine is a different deal - and I'm sure they're looking for something to get their name in the spotlight after financial losses forced them to pull the plug on the pre-game parade.

use "Citrus Bowl" as the stadium named. But, will
sell the name rights for the game. Similar to the
FED-Ex Orange Bowl.

Tangerine Bowl...was a mainstay in Orlando before
the Citrus Bowl. Once was used for Division II
playoff games. Was a decent small college/budding
mid major college way back when. East Carolina
played there in the early 60's...using the old
single wing. Some of the best years was when
the Mid-American Conf...would meet the Southern
Conf champ. Richmond and Ohio put on a great game
with Richmond winning 49-42.

The most memorable three year succession was when
Miami of Ohio beat Georgia, Florida and South
Carolina three straight years. Talk about busting
an SEC bubble...huh?
