Yankees really after Tommy Glavine

I understand the Yankees and Glavine's agent is in hot and heavy talks to get Tom in Yankee pin stripes next year.

It is my understanding that they are talking about a 3 year/$31MM contract.

I would think that would be hard to turn down. 03-cool

So much for their penny-pinching talk. Last week they were talking about not resigning Ventura, Petitte and Posada. Now they have resigned Petitte, and want to sign Glavine and that Japanese slugger. They will break the bank again. Typical of Steinbrenner....... :rolleyes: :bang:

Amen to that for sure. It is primarily because of the Yankees that all teams have to trim their budgets. 03-confused
