Durant thows an interception.
Can't ANYBODY on Tobacco Road BESIDES NC State play football???
Right now my ACC perception is like this:
Upper Teir:
FSU
NCSU
GT
Middle Teir
MD
UVA
CU
Lower Teir
Duke
WF
UNC
If UNC blows it - the ACC (more correctly, the lower teir tobacco road bottom feeders) will be 0-2 against the less than formidable MAC.....

Don't argue that - but after seeing things today - I'll say comfortably Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Duke will finish 7th, 8th, and 9th in the ACC respectively.

Wow, I went to the game today. It was disappointing. After having a spectacular defense last year, we are left with a young and not as solid defense. I have faith in them, but it is going to take some time for them to learn and become good. I was hoping Durant would open up the season with a solid game, because now I bet Bunting will end up going to a Durant/Stephens rotation in every game like he did last year; I don't really like that, but if that is what we have to do to win, then I guess it is fine. Anyways, the weather was miserable as was our control of the ball. Any team that turns the ball over 9 times shouldn't expect to win a game. However, there were some positives that I saw. Stephens seems to hold a lot of promise. Plus, our guys hung tough the entire game, and as a result, we almost pulled out a classic victory at the end. I look forward to our next game against Syracuse. Go Heels!

Okay, now that I'm back -- if anyone thinks that this game was an indication of what this season is going to be like, then think again.
We had nine turnovers -- almost all of them by the same person, and almost all of them due to the rain. That's not an excuse for the loss, but if we have even one less turnover either within our 25 yard line or within theirs, we win.
Also, if we have 30 more seconds on the clock, we win.
Once again, I'm not saying we don't deserve the loss. But, I'm saying that we aren't as bad as we played -- or rather, as Durant played. Our defense played awesome, and anyone who says differently didn't watch the game. CJ Stephens stepped into the game and almost pulled off a Superman. Those things give me hope for a good season.
Go ahead and write us off -- but if you do, watch out for another repeat of UNC-FSU in 2001....
