but not for a very good reason... #66

<a href="http://espn.go.com/magazine/listexplainer_20020724.html#" target="_blank">Carolina Blues</a>
It wasn't just that the 8-20 Tar Heels missed their first NCAA Tourney since 1974, or that they got waxed by Duke three times, or that they couldn't even beat Davidson in the Dean Dome. What made last season the worst in UNC history was what actually passed for good news: A one-point win over Binghamton."

ahh well, we're on the way back, YOU JUST WAIT AND SEE!!!

I think that speaks volumes about our program and tradition when we make the list of top sport stories of the year for having a bad season.

I disagree about Binghampton being the low point of the season. A win is a win. Nobody else's near-losses would have been mentioned as the "low" of the season unless they went undefeated....

(By the way, I added a link and a changed a typo in the thread title.)

Just got that issue of the magazine today and saw it too.

Doherty needs to show these things to the players before the season starts to get them angry and fired up.

I've said it before and i'll say it again (i'm no UNC fan): This year was a bad year. It happens. duke's had bad years, so has UMD(duke football is in a perpetual state of misery). I just hope that next year is more competitive, and it will be. It'll be fun to see felton school dockery and duhon (heck, he might even teach blake a lesson or two).

At this point, i think Felton will be an All-ACC competitor for years to come. Of course, some said the same thing about casey sanders...
