Cincinnati gets Gabe White back from the Yankees. I don't think the Reds should have traded him in the first place...but at least he's back.

The Cincinnati Reds announced late Friday the acquisition of LHP Gabe White, a player to be named later and an undisclosed amount of cash from the New York Yankees in exchange for minor league LHP Charlie Manning.

White, 32, returns for his third stint with the Reds (1997-2000, 2002-03). He last pitched for Cincinnati in 2003 and went 3-0 with a 3.93 ERA in 34 relief appearances before he was traded to the Yankees on July 31 for a player to be named later.

Finally that chump of a GM got off his asz and did something to improve this ball club. Now, go get a starter Danny Boy.

Welcome aboard. I would love to see them get Aaron Boone. I sure hated to see him go in the first place.

That would be funny if you ended up with both Boone and White.

when do you think boone is coming back. And how good do you think he'll be.

Nobody's helping the reds to the playoffs because they aren't going to have a shot at making it.

I don't know. They're still winning and it's almost July.
