Your typical Washington weasel (not a stab at dems - that goes for both parties).

Quote:The search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq should continue, but coalition forces don't need to find them to justify the war against Saddam Hussein.

That's the take of U.S. Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D.

"Regime change was a legitimate goal, it was accomplished and I think that's laudable in and of its own right,'' Daschle said Thursday.

''In 21 days we eliminated somebody who for 20 years has repressed and tortured his own people and posed a serious risk not only to his country, but to countries all over the world, including the United States,'' he added.

Wow.

If President Bush came to a sudden stop, Dasch-hole might vanish into the President's anal cavity.

The funny thing is that CNN still thinks that Dashel is more important then the president. Today, Bush gave a speech on his economic plan but CNN didn't think it was important enough to cover, but Daschel's vodoo economic stimlus plan deserved live coverage.

I suspect the senate minority leader's announcement constituted news, in the sense that it had not been unveiled before.

In contrast, Bush has been talking about the same plan for months.

If the minority leader was a republican or libetarian you honestly think CNN would have covered it?

If the parties were reversed -- Democrats in charge of both houses and the White House -- I absolutely think CNN would have covered a new major Republican proposal over another boring Clinton speech about the same issue he was talking about two weeks ago.

Bush gets an awful lot of TV time as it is. . . They cover speeches he makes, and I have no idea why they bother some times. Sometimes, it seems it doesn't say anything new at all, no one really expects him to, and yet the news networks are still covering it live.

Mostly, they are doing that because it's easy to fill time that way.

I bet you a hole in a donut CNN would not have covered a REP proposal if they were in the minority. My memory is not that bad.CNN most likely would have gave us a sound bite at best and you know this is true.
