So then this:

Quote:The ship was so close to shore that Bush could have easily have ridden a helicopter there. It was so close to shore, in fact, the ship had to be turned around so that when television cameras aired Bush's speech, the backdrop was open water -- and not the California coastline.

Is going in the trash. If you wish to offer anything other than opinion on here, it would behove you to back it up with facts. Facts aren't proven by OP-EDs.

Actually, it is <a href='http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030502/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_carrier_photo_op_2' target='_blank'>here.</a>

Regardless, just as someone else said, it was photo op that every politician, on every level, has done. Personally, I'm not a big fan of these things, but I don't see the big deal. What I would expect is that the Byrds and Krugmans of the world level their disdain across all party lines.

All I asked for was a link since it was your point. You lower yourself by turning to the name-calling which negates pretty much your entire argument that conservatives are the one's that are hate-filled. How juvenile. Of course, I can't say I expected anything other.

So....he flew onto the deck of the carrier. He IS the Commander in Chief. He DOES have that right.

It's moronic to think Krugman or any other Times columist would cite an AP report that didn't exist.

Don't let Robert Byrd tell you jack about politics.

He is the biggest "pork" politician to have ever existed. I don't want to hear crap about him on foreign policy until he pulls his head out from its firm implantation on the buttocks of big buisness in West Virginia.

Quote:Yes. Are Liberals not talking shi-t about Bush's military service?

Robert Byrd didn't waddle onto the flight deck of the Abraham Lincoln in a flight suit. By doing that, Bush brought it up.
