I rememeber it happening, but never caught why

A long time ago the promotion we now know as WWE was know as WWWF. Vince Sr. decided that he would drop one of the W's and just go with WWF. Little did anyone know that there was an organization called the World Wildlife Fund. They are into saving the animals and stuff like that. It seems that the wildlife fund said it was ok for the wrestling promotion to use "WWF" but only in the United States. That was no big deal because at the time, it was only a very small company that never went outside the US.

Fast forward to the year 2001, WWF was a very big company that held many shows all over the world. That didn't set well with the wildlife fund. So the wildlife fund took Vince JR. to court and won the right to use WWF as their logo. I know I have rambled quite a bit but in a round about way, that's what happend. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
