He's a restricted free agent and they signed him to an offersheet but Golden State is over the cap and it doesnt look like they are going to be able to match.

Arenas is a great pick up for the Wiz, finally solving the problems at point guard. This will probably cut into Juan Dixon's PT but it should really help this team alot, this move moves them from a loser team with no playoff chances to the playoff bubble for next season IMO.

Wizards were close last year - maybe MJ was holding them back

The Front court was atrocious and we had no point guard last year, I tend to think that MJ was the only thing keeping us afloat, if we are better this year it will be because we have a real point guard (if not a "true" point guard") and not because MJ left.

If you ask me, this move sucks more for steve blake, because he'll have to work that much harder to just get a spot on the roster (with the loss of tyrone lue, it might be alright, but i doubt it for some reason)
