I am - we may never get Saddam - but we have cut him to the quick with this move.

This should be a nice boost to our troops' morale!

This doesn't exactly make a huge difference in reality, but its great symbolically, and they needed to die anyway.

Are you kidding me? Do you know what these guys did while Saddam was in power? They ran most of the show because they were trying to prove to their father that they were evil enough to carry out his work when he was gone. They murdered their sisters husbands, tortured the sports teams, and had their own adventures with poison gas on the kurds. These men were just as evil as their father if not worse. Not only was it a symbolic event (the fall of evil), it will also be a huge event in reality because the Iraqi people no longer have to fear Uday and Qusay. Now we just gotta get the head man.

The dems are just pissed....... You know, we dont want to talk about the job of rebuilding Iraq. Lets just talk about soldiers getting killed........you know, that makes Bush look bad and all.....

"The WMD-hyping charge is nothing more than the Iraqi museum story Part II: A way for opponents of the war -- deeply embarrassed by the mass graves, torture chambers and grotesque palaces discovered after the war -- to change the subject and relieve themselves of the shame of having opposed the liberation of 25 million people." --Charles Krauthammer

It would have been better to capture them and try them, if possible.

You try to arrest someone whose's shooting Kalishnakov rounds at you. I also read in The Durham Herald-Sun that the troops were told they were going after high ranking officials. But what they didn't know was that it was Uday and Qusay. Yes I agree, it would have been a lot better to have tried them in court. Now they may become martyrs (doubtful, but possible).

Odai and Qusay realized this so they went down in a blaze of glory. I bet Saddam expected this of his sons.

I doubt they would have wanted to go through the humiliation of a trial and they knew they would die anyway.

I said a trial would be nice.

A trial is always better than a shootout that ends with suspects dead in a pool of blood.

Granted, shoot (outs) happens.

Hey Schadenfreude, did you just read what you wanted to read or are you ignoring the post?

2 Down...1 To Go!

btw...I heard that Iran, Syria and a few other Middle
Eastern Countries have threatened the U.S.

They have said: "If America doesn't withdraw its
Troops from the Middle East...we are going to cut
off the flow of obnoxious Subway and Convience Store
Managers to America!"
