my point isn't that i doubt him. you know that already.
my point is that it is reasonale for other people to doubt him, and that he and supporters should expect people to, and furthermore that he doesn't have any basis tocomplain because he opened himself up to it.

I only complain when I see people attack him JUST because he is Cheney. I believe we should ALL question government from time to time as they DO work for us, but awarding the contract to organizations that are CLEARLY the best at what they do, regardless of where the VP came from, is very feasible to me.
Remember, all purse strings are controlled by Congress. Congress allocates monies for the Defense Dep't, but all of it isn't to the DoD's discretion. There is STILL oversight.
Now, if you DO want to talk about conflicts of interest, read into Tom and Linda Daschle and the TSA, which that dumb*** Joe Borden said was created solely by Bush. ...another reason I take some on here with a grain of salt.

I don't care a DAMN bit about most of the leading Democrats, sorry. I still like Lieberman, but the others are clearly getting away with telling lies about things people SHOULD be able to see through. I don't agree with Bush on everything but IMO, I attack him on the things that are right to attack. I.e. attacks on the US Constitution that are always bi-partisan efforts.
BTW, he pissed me off when he didn't Veto the Campaign Finance Reform. I view that as a DIRECT violation of the 1st Amendment.

Lets just cut to the chase: Democrats want to change this country into their socialistic "utopia" which is not only an oxymoron and contradiction of terms, its not what the founders had in idea for this country. They want to get rid of the capitalistic ideals our country was founded on. Democrats hate America. They think we should sympathsize with the Islamic fundamentalist instead of elimanating them for America's safety. They criticize any Republican war on the basis of American Imperialism or some profitable gain, while they go and fight wars that are not in the interest of the United States. They also think the UN is the "peace-keeping body of the world" when in reality it is the biggest joke since Clinton's presidency. Liberals Hate America. Shut up Shad, I already know what your gonna say. Don't even bother saying anything. It'll just be garbage anyway. :chair:

So what? this type of thing goes on all of the time, not just in politics. Everyone in that situation would do the same thing. There would be no point to giving contracts to other companies when the VP works at Halliburton. If they do good work, it shouldn't matter if the VP is reaping some of the rewards.
Shouldn't there be perks to being VP?
Has America really sunk this low?
